Thomas has noticed an uptick in wellness trips. “More and more people are embracing the balance between wellness and work,” she says. “Clients are now embarking on longer-term wellness programs while still staying connected to their job in a positive and healthy environment, which contributes to increased productivity, relaxation, and a wider perspective.” Thomas recently planned a client’s journey to Prakriti Shakti in the Western Ghats, a health clinic that specializes in intensive ayurvedic treatments; she scored another one a visit to the new Taj Rishikesh Resort & Spa, Uttarakhand, a destination popular with yoga enthusiasts (“Perched demurely on the banks of the sacred Ganges River, it’s the ideal spot for that early morning post-sun salutation dip,” she notes.) An unexpected region that’s on Thomas’ radar is Nashik, an emerging wine destination. “Around four hours from Mumbai, it’s prime wine territory due to its sandy soil, low minerality, and rolling hills suggestive (with a little imagination) of the Tuscan landscape.”

"When I first was lucky enough to contact Greaves Tours, Rose Thomas was very perceptive about what we wanted, didn't want, and what sort of travelers we were. From beginning to end she was there, answering our numerous questions and we found her to be knowledgeable, personable, and tireless. We were impressed with the individuals who took care of us while in India — from drivers to tour guides — and everyone we met was so friendly and helpful, and really cared about our experience. Our India trip (and subsequent trips) was exactly what we had hoped for and much more." - Ron Jackson
