She's noticed increased interest in stays at authentic ryokan (traditional Japanese inns), like Gora Kadan and Hakone Ginyu, both in the mountains west of Tokyo. She also excels in trips to Myanmar—a favorite destination is Ngapali Beach. During the pandemic, Mazzaro and her team used the time to "concentrate on product development, redesign new exciting adventures, and research new areas." And she remains hopeful about travel to Asia in the coming year, anticipating revised client needs like specialty tours, which saw an increase even pre-pandemic: "I will often arrange for private, expert historians to give a tour for my travelers. Or, for those that love photography, arranging a professional photographer to accompany them for a day. Clients are going to be much more interactive with more unique experiences now more than ever."
