These 15-year travel veterans can plan the Rome or Venice vacation of your dreams. But these married co-founders also have intimate knowledge of less-crowded places: the Mediterranean coastline of Sardinia, the colorful towns of the Italian Riviera, and the food festivals and wine cellars of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta.

Italy is a perennially popular destination, but travelers can visit again and again and still find something new — especially when they venture off the Rome-Florence-Venice tourist trail. That might mean a two week hiking experience through the Dolomites, exploring the trenches where World War I was fought, and in the Foreste Casentinesi National Park (on the border between Tuscany & Umbria) exploring the forests where St. Francis went to meditate.

"Our experience with Matteo was wonderful. My husband and I told him where we wanted to go, how much we wanted to spend, and he took it from there. Our confidence in him took us from Amalfi to Taormina with private cars and knowledgeable tour guides. We truly had an amazing trip. He was always aware of where we were, and if there was an airline strike, he called us and made sure we were aware. We drove all over Sicily, which Matteo mapped for us with guides meeting us at every stop. We never felt alone. He is the one to use in Italy." — Kym D.
