Travel + Leisure A-List Travel Agent Kassandra Magruder

Kassandra Magruder

While Magruder plans trips worldwide, her expertise lies in Africa, Latin America, and the polar regions. She recently organized a 43-day trip through South America for a solo traveler that encompassed exploring the rainforests and savannahs of Guyana, taking in such vibrant urban settings as São Paulo and Panama City, and trekking in the sand dunes of Brazil’s Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, all with the help of expert guides along the way. “Having lived and worked in Latin America for many years,” she says, “I was able to craft an itinerary utilizing the most direct flight options, saving my client time and money.”

One of Magruder’s specialties is pulling off multi-country trips in Africa while minimizing extraneous overnights in places like Nairobi and Johannesburg. This allows her clients to maximize their vacation time instead of traveling between places in an inefficient manner. Magruder is also excited about a host of new polar expedition vessels. “As climate change has more visible impacts to the environment, people are flocking to the polar regions.”

"Over the years, Kassandra has come to recognize our needs, likes, dislikes and level of adventure that is appropriate. She never 'oversells' a trip and is quite flexible in adjusting to our changing needs as we learn more and more about each destination. She is easy to talk to, very responsive, and incredibly informed. She is quite a traveler and shares her experiences willingly. Because of her, we have had some amazing experiences in destinations that we may not have considered. We know we can contact her, tell her we want to go away at a specific time of the year, and ask for suggestions. We enjoy working with her and hope that our relationship will continue for many more years." - Jerrilyn Rozner
