Travel + Leisure A List Travel Agent Jeaninne Sanz Bernay

Jeaninne Sanz Bernay

A native Argentine, Sanz Bernay uses her deep understanding of South American culture to enrich her thoughtful trips across the continent, which have included tracing family roots in Córdoba, Argentina, and a pilgrimage through the Andes focused on traditional music. Sanz Bernay has recently expanded her company to offer some exclusive glamping experiences. “We have purchased tents, domes, and equipment and have traveled all over Patagonia to find the best and most remote places to set up these unique camps,” she says. “These experiences are typically for the adventure traveler, looking for barefoot luxury. Biking down a trail, clients arrive at Lago Machonico (San Martin de los Andes). From here they kayak to a remote beach for an exclusive gourmet picnic, then hike to the camp we set up at the shore of the lakes. Our camps are private, and we bring in local chefs to cook every meal. The program lasts five days.”

"Jean planned my trip to Patagonia. I like it when things go as planned, and on this trip, things often went even better. Jean really knows how to do her job. The hotels she picked matched and exceeded my expectations. The guides were competent, friendly, reliable, and fun to be with. Everything worked without a glitch. I could focus on shooting great pictures and not on worrying about details of getting from point A to point B. She even put in a couple of unexpected highlights without telling me. For example, my guide took me to a lake in Torres del Paine Park with flamingos on it. I really felt that Jean took a personal interest in making this trip an experience of a lifetime for me" - Dr. Bernd Wanner
