With a knack for going beyond the typical safari, Kenya-born Gordon arranges culturally immersive itineraries that include introductions to tastemakers and curators, and often recommends smaller camps that offer a close-to-nature experience, such as the family-run lodges of Bush & Beyond, in Kenya, or the African Bush Camps in Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

She prioritizes personal relationships with her clients to truly understand what they're looking for in their travels. "Getting to know what makes our clients tick, by really taking the time to get to know them, combined with our on-the-ground connections and experiences in the destination, helps me create one-off, once-in-a-lifetime experiences," she says. For one guest, she arranged a private helicopter ride from the Ellerman House in Cape Town to a personal friend’s cottage on the Cape Peninsula for private lunch set up and catered by no other than Justin Bonello—one of South Africa’s top celebrity chefs and presenter of popular show, The Ultimate Braai Master.

"Elizabeth Gordon planned our family trip to Africa in the summer of 2021. She presented wonderful options for our safari and was super responsive to our needs and group interests. She is a thoughtful, experienced professional; I would travel with her guidance any day! Elizabeth and her team delivered a very detailed and professional job from start to finish. We all absolutely loved our trip and the different places we went. I look forward to traveling with her guidance again and have recommended her to all of my friends interested in traveling abroad." - Lisa B.
