If food equals love, then pint-sized Yountville is ground zero for romance. Its crowning glory, of course, is Chef Thomas Keller’s renowned French Laundry, but it’s not the area’s only Michelin-starred restaurant. Take it all in and unwind ensemble at a vineyard and a restaurant serving haute fried chicken.

Robert Sinskey Vineyards

A stop along the winery-laden Silverado Trail, this particular edifice was built with stone and wood materials to evoke the aura of something between a castle and farm. As a pioneer of the organic and biodynamic practices of crafting wine, Robert Sinskey Vineyards encourages microorganisms, the use of natural pesticides, and an adherence to the lunar calendar. With his dad Bob and winemaker Jeff Virnig, Robert has become well-known for producing high-quality, Burgundy-inspired pinot noir from the Carneros region of Napa. Robert’s wife, Maria, also runs the kitchens at the winery, providing supplemental food pairings during tastings.

Spa Villagio

In downtown Yountville, this Italian villa-style spa is part of the larger Villagio resort. The 16-treatment rooms and five private spa suites are designed with elements like natural wood, fieldstone, waterfalls, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, reflecting pools, and European antiques and paintings. Mud and mineral baths, skin care, hand and feet treatments, and a multitude of full-body massages are available by appointment to standard guests, while the suites offer all of these treatments together in one package, as well as flat-screen televisions and a private terrace. Renowned chef Michael Chiarello’s Bottega restaurant is also located in the property’s neighboring V Marketplace.
