A free video series will tell you what you need to know to have an amazing trip.
To celebrate the start of the fall school term, Inspired By Iceland has released a series of videos that share insider knowledge on topics visitors wonder about most, like how to catch the Northern Lights and how to pack for the country’s changing weather.
The videos are part of Iceland Academy, an online tool that offers tips from local experts.
Viewers can learn about everything from secrets of Icelandic cuisine to how to explore Iceland’s best winter activities.
Reykjavik photographer Baldur Kristjáns will teach you how to track down the Northern Lights, while a playful update on a video released earlier this year shows how to avoid awkwardness when dipping into one of Iceland’s hot tubs.
Future videos will include a guide to Icelandic festivals, how to travel further in Iceland, tutorials on Iceland’s therapeutic wonders, a beginner's guide to Icelandic horses, and a selfie guide.
All of the videos are open to the public on both their website and via their social media channels, and viewers who complete the entire course will be eligible to win a trip to Iceland for two.
