You only have to apply your sunscreen unevenly once to understand how awful the outcome can be.

A blotchy sunburn can be just as painful as it is unsightly—it has the power of ruining an entire vacation.

Sunscreenr would like to help: The tool—which looks more like a keychain fob than anything else—has a filter you can look through that shows where sunscreen has already been applied on your skin. The sunscreen will stand our, making it easy to see which spots were missed.

Now if only it would remind us when to reapply.

The Indiegogo campaign recently raised 266 percent of its initial goal—for a total of $134,144.

The product is supposed to arrive in the hands of project backers in December 2016. Not in time to help prevent sunburns this summer, but right on schedule to make a great present to your beach-obsessed friends and family.
