The Clintons are hitting the road.
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton, former U.S. Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, their daughter Chelsea and her two children are heading to Canada to stay at Quebéc’s Manoir Hovey.
According to Radio-Canada, the former first family will be there for all of next week.
The beautiful resort in North Hatley in Quebéc's Eastern Townships spans 35 acres on the shores of Lake Massawippi, and was named one of the world's best hotels by Travel & Leisure for 2017.
Many celebrity guests have stayed at Manoir Hovey over the years. In 2003, the then-President of France Jacques Chirac visited the hotel with his wife.
“It’s a quiet, small-town area — but also relatively easy to get to from major cities — which is no doubt partially why it’s attractive to the Clintons,” said T+L Editor in Chief Nathan Lump, who added that the food — like the fine dining restaurant, Le Hatley — is one of the big features of the hotel.
The Clinton family is expected to stay in one of the suites away from the main building. Secret Service conducted a security check on the hotel last week.
An idyllic Canadian vacation sounds like a great break ahead of Hillary Clinton’s book launch. Her book, “What Happened,” a detailing of her presidential campaign, will be released on September 12.
