As a wildfire blazed through Ventura County this week, Caitlyn Jenner returned to her Malibu home to find most of her roof gone and her dog missing.

While the house was safe from the flames, Jenner’s roof was torn off, part of it landing in the pool, as high winds ripped through the area Wednesday, Deadline reported. Her 8-month-old Labrador puppy, Bertha, was gone.

“It was awful," one of Jenner’s representatives told People Magazine. We all thought Bertha was buried under that wreckage. Nowhere to be found last night nor this morning.”

But thanks to a wreckage crew, who mentioned seeing a dog nearby, the I Am Cait star and Bertha were reunited the next day, according to People.

“Poof, down the hill is this filthy-covered Bertha,” Jenner's rep told the magazine.
