When only the finest will do, demand the finest of all.
Every year, Luxury Travel Intelligence, a luxury travel review site, sends its team to the newest luxury hotel openings to review them.
This year, the site’s reviewers traveled from Mexico to Brazil to luxury mainstay Dubai. They stayed in hotels fresh off of multimillion dollar renovations, like the Hotel de Crillon in Paris and Hotel Eden in Rome, and striking, brand-new hotels like The Silo in Cape Town and the private Kokomo Island in Fiji.
Out of the 74 brand-new luxury hotels that LTI’s 12 experts visited this year, these were their top 10:
- The Bulgari, Dubai, UAE
- The Ned, London, U.K.
- Villa La Coste, Provence, France
- Hôtel de Crillon, Paris, France
- Chable Resort, Yucatan, Mexico
- Burgenstock Hotel, Lucerne, Switzerland
- Nobu Ryoken, Malibu, U.S.
- Hotel Eden, Rome, Italy
- Kokomo Island, Fiji
- Four Seasons Surf Club, Miami, U.S.
The Bulgari in Dubai was selected for the top honor because of its “private and understated” vibes. The resort has a private beach, marina and “an impressive Italian restaurant with chef Niko Romito at the helm,” according to LTI.
