Opened in 2003, this furniture/home goods/design store/gallery serves mostly loft-dwelling New Yorkers and curious visitors. At any time, the store mixes up its more practical items, including rugs and sofas, with an eclectic, rotating selection of products such as a resin and marble banana bowl cast in gold, a PVC and silver glitter snow globe, and a handmade ceramic pink elephant trophy head, decorated and shipped from Mexico. The store also stocks a small collection of chic but pricey jewelry from up-and-coming designers, such as Lara Knutson.
