Located in Bucktown, Takashi is a favorite with locals for its unique American-French cuisine with a Japanese flair. Inside, exposed brick is painted slate gray, and white upholstered chairs sit atop the hardwood floors. High quality ingredients come from around the world, including Maine, Japan, and Australia, but sustainable-fished seafood and local products are used when possible. Working behind the scenes, chef Takashi Yagihashi, creates artfully presented dishes, such as chicken in a clay pot, Amish chicken with shimeji mushrooms, eggplant, haricot vert, and yuzu juice.

On Sundays only, Takashi has a noodle dinner menu, which past diners hail as the best in the city.
