Pine Tree is a summertime favorite for ice cream on quaint Main Street in Rangeley. People line up to the powder blue building and fill up outdoor picnic tables to enjoy the shop's selection of Gifford’s brand scoops in flavors like French vanilla, coffee, and mint chocolate chip. It’s also possible to order soft serve at the window, either vanilla, chocolate, or a twist. Satiated children on a sugar rush often line the banks of adjacent Haley Pond to play with the ducks.

Western Maine isn’t exactly warm in the winter, so Pine Tree Frosty closes during colder months. Call ahead to make sure they’re open for business.
