Western Lakes + Mountains
Lodge at Moosehead Lake
Greenville, ME, 04441, United States
TEL: (800) 825-6977
The lodge offers prime views of tree-lined Moosehead Lake, with northern section of the Appalachian mountains in the background. In summer, there are opportunities to fly fish, canoe, or even go on a moose safari within minutes of the lodge. Winter activities include snowmobiling, ice fishing, and cross-country skiing. Less active guests can lounge by the fireplace or visit the spa. Summer brings a full menu to the dining room, and in the winter, the lodge's kitchen prepares a simplified prix fixe supper on Friday and Saturday nights consisting of seasonal appetizers like clam chowder and main dishes such as lobster mac and cheese or buffalo short rib pie.
Room to Book:
Every room except the Trout Room overlooks the lake and mountains. The four suites have prized views, since they have French windows and doors with private decks.
Insider Tip:
Currier’s Flying Service provides floatplane tours that depart nearby and pass over Moosehead Lake, Mount Katahdin, and the tail end of the Appalachian Trail.
