39 Downing St., New York, NY 10014

Named after a style of country house found in the south of France, Mas is a French-inspired eatery in the heart of New York’s Greenwich Village. The ambiance is rustic chic, with unfinished wooden floorboards and paneling and low lighting. Chef Galen Zamarra (a James Beard Award winner), oversees the kitchen, crafting and elaborately plating New American dishes that utilize seasonal, local, and sustainable ingredients. The menu changes daily, and past offerings have included smoked rainbow trout with caviar and dill cream and roasted lamb loin with sweet potato puree. The wine list features international bottles from organic and biodynamic producers.
