Known as the “Riot House” in the 1960’s and 70’s, this hotel was a notorious party spot for touring rock bands like Led Zeppelin, the Who, and the Rolling Stones. Today, the renovated property is much more tame, while still paying homage to its rock-and-roll history—think LP’s in the guest rooms and music-themed art installations. The 257 rooms include the services of a personal “host,” who handles check-in, among other duties, as well as large windows overlooking the Hollywood Hills or the Sunset Strip. The hotel also has a locally inspired French restaurant, RH, and a rooftop bar, which serves poolside, handcrafted cocktails.
