Wellfleet
Catch of the Day
The fresh seafood at this restaurant on Route 6 in South Wellfleet comes from its very own on-site fish market. Peter and Diane Hall, who also own Van Rensselaer’s Restaurant, founded catch of the Day in 2006. This brick building, with black scalloped awnings over the windows, offers a seafood counter and limited seating (picnic tables are available outside on the patio, which is lit by strings of lights). The menu includes, when available, Chatham steamers, littlenecks Barcelona, Wellfleet fisherman’s stew, bluefish, fish tacos, swordfish, and more.
Insider Tip:
Since this is both a fish market and restaurant, you can either eat there or pick up fresh fish to prepare at home after an afternoon at nearby Marconi Beach.
