Latin and Caribbean background beats set the tone at this rum-centric cocktail lounge in the InterContinental Boston hotel. A tribute to Boston’s centuries-old contribution to the rum trade, the lounge features more than 100 varieties of rum displayed in backlit shelves behind a curved pewter bar. Lined with arched windows, RumBa's interior is also adorned with leather sofas and glass fireplaces flanked by cocktail tables crafted from Louis Vuitton trunks. Caribbean-style small plates, such as Bahamian lobster hush puppies, complement signature cocktails like the Rumbullion, made with Bacardi 8, Demerara rum, curaçao, lime and pomegranate juices, and a secret blend.
