Vietri sul Mare
Hotel Raito
Just east of the famous ceramics town of Vietri sul Mare, the Raito’s wide tiled terraces and stately eggshell-colored buildings can be seen looming above the Mediterranean amid citrus and olive groves. The hotel makes the most of its location; its three restaurants, two alfresco swimming pools, and spa all have stunning panoramic sea views. So do many of the 77 sleek, high-ceilinged guest rooms, which are crisply upholstered in white and nautical blue. The staff, however, isn’t as ultrasolicitous as you might expect at a five-star resort. And if you’re planning to explore, arrive in your own car—or prepare for lots of pricey cab rides.
Room to Book:
To avoid the chaos of frequent wedding parties, book one of the 26 rooms on the Seiren Floor, a private wing with its own reception area.
Insider Tip:
Avoid the lowest-priced standard rooms, which don't share the ocean vistas.
