Vienna
Die Halle
Open since May 2001, Die Halle has drawn art-loving tourists and Austrians alike with its affordable menu (most breakfast and lunch items are under 10 euros). Located in the Kunsthalle, Vienna's vibrant cultural center in the Museumsquartier, this former Imperial riding hall-turned-restaurant wows crowds with its immense light fixtures, high ceilings and, most importantly, its diverse menu. A broad range of international dishes (many with Austrian influences) is highlighted by the signature Halle club sandwich, gourmet salads, and a variety of homemade soups, such as pumpkin with a black bean garnish.
Insider Tip:
Reservations are recommended for dinner if you want to eat at a reasonable hour, especially on weekends.
