The newest addition to the storied Ringstrasse is the design-oriented Grand Hotel Ferdinand. Florian Weitzer, who is known for his hotels in the Austrian city of Graz as well as the Daniel in Vienna, loosely used the turn of the 20th century as inspiration—resuling in black walls, claw-foot tubs, and elaborate, white-stained headboards. The hotel has a rooftop pool, which is unheard of in this mostly unchanging city, and it has glass walls that allow for an unparalleled vista. And there are three restaurants: the guests-only Grand-étage on the top floor, the Austrian-focused Restaurant Am Ring, and the less formal Goulash & Champagne, with small bites. Another high-end perk? A Maserati for rent, if you're so inclined.
