Gelateria Latteria Gabriele
Located between Sorrento and Naples, this popular latteria with a 1960's looking interior makes and sells cheese, gelato ice cream, and desserts. The selection of cheese is broad, with an emphasis on local varieties like provolone del Monaco from nearby Vico. The neat pans of gelato behind counters of steel and glass include hazelnut, pistachio, and tiramisu, and among the stars of the dessert lineup is a custard-filled cake soaked with limoncello, as well as brioche con gelato e panna (gelato tucked between two slices of bread and topped with fresh cream).
Instead of the usual cup or cone, ask for your gelato to be served on brioche bread.
