It took a mere six months from opening for Dopolavoro, the flagship restaurant of the JW Marriott, to earn its first Michelin star, which was awarded just in time for the 2016 season. Veronese chef Giancarlo Perbellini is at the helm, with a gourmet take on traditional Veneto dishes on the menu—think ravioli stuffed with marinated shrimp, sour milk, candied lemon and capers; and grilled octopus with bacon and horseradish mayonnaise. The location is idyllic, spilling out onto the gardens of the Marriott's private island, and set in an original building from 1936.
