Restaurants in Venice
You'll typically find chef Travis Lett at the farmer's market when he's not behind the stoves at his restaurant, the bright new light on ever-trendy Abbot Kinney.
Located in a hipster Venice neighborhood, Flake’s entrance is marked with a wood surfboard propped against the wall. Customers at the small place can sit at an outdoor table or indoors, with light wood and green banquette seating and white walls trimmed in orange.
Located at the corner of Abbot Kinney and San Juan in the small beach community of Venice, 3 Square Café is the creation of veteran chef/restaurateur Hans Röckenwagner, whose stints in kitchens in Germany and Switzerland are evident throughout the menu.
Hans Rockenwagner brings 30 years of cooking experience in Germany, Switzerland, Chicago, and Los Angeles to this small café and bakery in Venice. Given his background, it’s no surprise that many of the items on the menu derive from Europe before he adds his American twists.
