Located in Kitsilano Beach Park on the edge of English Bay, this seasonal public pool features panoramic views of the downtown skyline backed by the North Shore Mountains. First constructed in 1931, the 450-foot “Kits” Pool, as the locals call it, is the longest pool in Canada as well as the only heated saltwater pool in Vancouver. The white-bottomed tank is only open during the summer and is divided into three depth sections to accommodate different ages and types of swimmers. Surrounding the pool is a gray sand beach, several playgrounds, and tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts.
Stop by the on-site Boathouse restaurant during happy hour (3—6) for $1 oysters, drink specials, and incredible views of the bay and mountains from the second-story dining room.
