Artie's Delicatessen

2290 Broadway
New York, NY, 10024, United States
TEL: (212) 579-5959

Artie's Delicatessen, on the Upper West Side, is a New York-style deli that serves the flavors of 1930s homestyle Jewish cooking within a modern restaurant painted brightly and playing hip music. Menu highlights include the pastrami sandwich stacked with seasoned beef, and the flanken in a pot, tender beef served on the bone in a mushroom-barley soup. And as guests who dine-in will know from the neon sign in the window, Artie's proudly makes its own hot dogs. The menu includes other specialty sandwiches, homemade soups, burgers and cold salad platters.

Insider Tip:

Few other than Artie's could claim a former Miss America as wait staff. It's been years since Kate Shindle worked there, but you never know who might serve you now.
