Upper East Side
Café Boulud
New York, NY, 10021, United States
Situated on a prestigious stretch in the Upper East Side, Café Boulud shares real estate with the 1920’s Surrey Hotel. Chef Gavin Kaysen helms the kitchen at this celebrity-chef owned outpost. Décor is austere and takes the backseat to Kaysen’s meticulous French techniques. Diners can splurge on the tasting menu with optional wine pairing, or order à la carte. Huckleberry glazed duck with acorn squash and terrine de lapin with red onion purée are among the menu highlights. The café has two salons privés for private parties.
Insider Tip:
The outdoor patio is slightly more casual than inside so if the upscale interior isn't your style, opt for the patio intead.
