This is the place to stay for those who want to embrace Tulum’s eco-conscious, healthy lifestyle, with vinyasa yoga sessions, fresh smoothies, and house-made organic bath products. This wellness-focused hotel went through a renovation and expansion in 2015, adding four new rooms and two suites across the street from the original property on the jungle side of the beach road. Designed by Tulum’s own Studio Arquitectos, these new spaces are great for families—the minimalist rooms have tons of living room space, as well as a kitchen, bathtub, and daybeds, and there’s a pool area, exclusive to those staying on the jungle side. Some of the rooms on the beach side have been revamped as well—those on the ground floor now have private back patios with outdoor tubs and hammocks, and all the new rooms have a clean, white palette, with tall mirrors, geodesic lamps, and cozy lounging areas. All the bath amenities are made in-house, including a biodegradable mosquito spray. The hotel’s restaurant is called the Real Coconut, with a focus on healthy food and fantastic smoothies. For further pampering, head to the lovely spa, with three treatment rooms and a gorgeous rooftop space with views of Tulum’s lush jungle.
