Nest is a relatively new hotel in Tulum, but it has quickly become one of the top spots to relax and unwind. The property was opened in December 2015 by music industry veteran James Chippendale, who finally decided to call his longtime favorite beach getaway home. Chippendale brought in the former food and drinks manager at Be Tulum to help make the nine-room hotel feel more like a beachside home. The duo worked to source products and furniture from local artisans including woodworkers in Coba, creating chic but minimalist interiors. The décor is reflective of its natural surroundings, with nest-inspired lamp fixtures made out of vejuco roots and pops of bright colors from the plush pillows and quilts. Grab a glass of mezcal from the beachside bar, kick back in one of the cabanas, and you’ll never want to leave.
