Ana y José

Ana y Jose, named after its founding couple, has 24 spacious rooms placed throughout the lush property, which faces a quiet, white sand beach about four miles south of the fortressed Mayan ruins of Tulum. Renovations have shifted the ambience from rustic and functional to high-end luxury, incorporating elements such as native marble tiled floors and thatched palapa roofs. The well-maintained pool is set amidst thick but well-tended vegetation, creating the effect of swimming in a jungle. Staff tend the pristine beach, going so far as to remove washed-up seaweed by hand. Thatched huts on the beach are first-come, first-served. Guests are treated to a welcome cocktail and bowl of fruit in the room.
