Ontario College of Art & Design
Established in 1876 by the Ontario Society of Artists, the Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD) in downtown Toronto has grown to become the third largest professional art and design school in North America. Offering a range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programs in subjects like curatorial practice, integrated media, and digital futures, the university emphasizes cultural diversity, equitable global citizenship, and aesthetic and formal excellence. Noteworthy architecural stops on campus include architect Will Alsop's Sharp Centre for Design, where a large, pixelated black and white box is suspended 9 stories above the building courtesy of 12 colorful steel legs.
