Nihonbashi Yukari

3-2-14 Nihonbashi,

Chef Kimio Nonaga gained acclaim as the winner of the 2002 Iron Chef competition and has catered meals for the Imperial household, but his traditional kaiseki (multi-course) restaurant, located just a few minutes from Tokyo Station, is affordable and friendly. The zen-like exterior and un-fussy traditional interior is complete with shoji-screened private rooms and counter seats where diners watch the chef at work. Courses include miso, tempura, sashimi, meat or fish, rice course, and dessert made with local, seasonal ingredients. While kaiseki meals are typically served only at dinner, they're available here for lunch as well.
