Some of the world’s best French restaurants can be found in Tokyo, and our favorite among them is elegant Les Saisons, in the Imperial Hotel. At the helm is Chef Thierry Voisin, who was most recently at three-Michelin-starred Les Crayères in Reims. His sensibility for highlighting the best of the seasons is reflected in dishes such as, in autumn, creamed pheasant and French chestnut velouté or roast venison with spiced compote of apple and fig with wine, dried fruits, and nuts. Service is impeccable and the décor refined and demure in the large, softly lit, taupe-and-cream dining room, where diners are seated at ample distance from each other. From start to finish, it’s a classical French experience of the highest caliber.
