Sumo Wrestling at Ryogoku Kokugikan
If you are lucky enough to be in Tokyo for a sumo match, get a ticket at the Ryogoku Kokugikan, Tokyo’s main sumo arena. The pomp and circumstance of the prefighting rituals alone is worth the price of the ticket. Sumo’s long history goes back more than 1,400 years, and today it is Japan’s national sport. Watching two grown men with ponytails and little else on push each other out of the ring is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
