It’s hard to get much closer to the powdery slopes of Vail than at The Sebastian’s Base Camp ski center. And once you’re there, it’s easy to actually get going, thanks to the many valets who tend to everything from your car to your bags to your bikes in the summer months.

Things to do in The Vail Area

The vertical that draws skiers in the winter lures fat-tire aficionados in the summer. The 20 or so trails range from over-your-handlebar black-diamonds to meandering greens that span the ridgeline, so you don't have to be an experienced rider to check out the scene.
