Owned by famed sushi chef Yoshii Ryuichi, this upscale restaurant serves Japanese cuisine in the traditional kaiseki style. Named after a heated stone used to guard against cold weather in Japan, this style of dining consists of several small plates designed to “warm the stomach.” The set menus change frequently but might include dishes like trout-wrapped daikon with vinegar miso, and kingfish sashimi marinated in wasabi oil. The restaurant itself is airy and modern, with dark hardwood floors, Spanish leather chairs, and a black-marble sushi bar. A temperature-controlled wine room holds an eclectic variety of both wine and sake.

Take time to shop at the neighboring Clocktower Square, home to jewelry stores, art galleries, and souvenir shops selling everything from boomerangs to didgeridoos.
