In the Central Business District, the Hyatt Regency rises high in the downtown skyline with notable features like the glass-enclosed lobby, lounge, bar and restaurant, which mirrors the style of the adjacent Colorado Convention Center.

Bold faces have been jockeying for rooms at the $75 million property, which upped Denver's glamour quotient when it opened in 2008.

Most business-oriented hotels are cookie-cutter bland.

Located just south of Cherry Creek, Loews Denver Hotel is only a 15-minute drive from downtown. Inside the glass-and-steel building, the lobby is designed to resemble an Italian villa, with large marble columns, Renaissance-style paintings, and vintage furniture set beside a fireplace.

Although the JW Marriott is located three miles outside of downtown, the hotel is still convenient to several attractions, including the upscale Cherry Creek Shopping Center.
