Tucked away down an alley in Temple Bar, the Irish Film Institute is a cinema screening the best movies from Ireland and around the world; it has access to rare archive reels and films that wouldn’t usually reach mainstream cinemas. Screenings include current releases, timely classics, and movies from film festivals. There’s an excellent café on site, as well as a bar (you can take your drink into the theater, too). Free screenings are often held at lunchtime, showcasing short films from the IFI Irish Film Archive.
