Honga's Lotus Petal

135 E. Colorado Ave.,
United States,

Housed in a former Old West saloon with a striped awning in the front, Honga's is bigger than it looks from the outside, with a sushi counter on the ground floor and a central skylight above exposed beams over the second floor dining room. Cloth banners hang from the exposed beams, and clear resin panels with encased ginko leaves add hints of Asian influence to the atmosphere. Honga has a reputation as the best sushi spot in town, but Thai, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese selections are also on the menu, including blackened tofu, pad Thai, and coconut curry.
