Danish design brand HAY—beloved for its stylish, contemporary homewares—opened its first Sydney shop in December 2015. Styled like a chic, airy apartment, HAY Sydney is spread over two floors in Surry Hills, managed by Chippendale design store Cult. Furniture, lighting, and accessories by talents including Sebastian Wrong, Stefan Diez, Scholten & Baijings, and the Bouroullec brothers are on display, including the quirky Wrong for Hay brother brand, as well as the popular Mini Market of smaller, more portable items including glassware, tote bags, stationery, and cute ceramic ornaments.
