Sweden has a long and proud tradition of baking, and Tösse is one of the most traditional konditoris in town. It's worth visiting to get a sense of the history of Swedish food, and luckily for all of us, the cakes are still as excellent as they were when they were first made, in the 1920s. A particularly good time to go is in spring, during Lent, when Tösse makes extraordinarily tasty semlor—buns filled with almond paste and dusted with sugar.
