Fredsgatan 12
Housed on the campus of the Royal Art Academy, Fredsgatan 12 (F12) is owned by well-known restaurateurs Melker Andersson and Danyel Couet. The decor is complete with Mario Bellini furniture in sea-foam green, lemon-yellow, and cream, while paintings by artists like Diti Almog provide accents of color. The most unique draw is the 11-course meal centered around a 1666 farmer's almanac, with entrees such as duck liver with toasted seeds and peach lemonade and langoustines with ginger and dill on rice bread. In warm weather, meals can be enjoyed on the terrace that overlooks Lake Malaren and the Old Town.
Insider Tip:
Opened in 1773 by King Gustav III, the Royal Art Academy is considered by many to be the finest art musuem in the city.
