St. James’s Club & Villas

Spread across 100 acres of a peninsula on the island’s southeastern coast, this multifaceted resort’s rooms and villas are done in an airy, tropical style—wicker furnishings, terracotta tile floors, colorful prints and fabrics. One beach faces east and the other west, so both sunrise and sunset can be enjoyed from the sand. And with recent upgrades to its four restaurants, the addition of an adults-only pool, and the opening of 50 all-inclusive Royal Suites on the beach, the St. James seems to have vanquished any shortcomings inherited from its old incarnation as a Holiday Inn.
