St. James
The Cliff
Dozens of blazing torches surround this two-story restaurant, built atop a small coral cliff overlooking the Caribbean. Often lauded as the best fine-dining destination on the island, the indoor-outdoor restaurant resembles the bow of a ship, designed with natural wood, terracotta tile, and candlelit tables, all of which have a view of the water. Created by chef Paul Owens, the ever-changing menu may include char-grilled swordfish with Thai yellow curry sauce, and prime strip loin steak with peppercorn sauce and truffled fries. The Cliff is also known for its well-crafted cocktails, such as the popular mojito.
Insider Tip:
Call as early as possible to reserve a table at the very front of the terrace, where you’ll likely see turtles and manta rays swimming in the illuminated water below.
