Originally opened as the casual compliment to partners Douglas Keane and Nick Peyton’s very formal Cyrus restaurant, Market was sold to executive chef Eduardo E. Martinez in 2008. The restaurant has retained its simultaneous casual and sophisticated pub atmosphere. A wall of stones excavated from the 1890’s lines the front dining area, while booths hug the exterior of the room and a row of tables straddles the center. The polished dark wood bar was transported from the Palace Hotel. American comfort-food classics like a crab Louis salad, fried chicken, and baby back ribs are signatures.
