Spring Mountain Vineyard

If you were a soap-opera watcher in the 1980s, you might feel a twinge of déjà vu as you approach this winery’s elaborate, turn-of-the-century mansion: it was long used as a film location for Falcon Crest. The property still feels enchantingly romantic, with its flowering rose and lilac gardens and its opulent interior décor (tastings are held in a formal dining room beneath an enormous chandelier). The standout wines here are the Cabernet Sauvignons, Syrahs, and Pinot Noirs; there are also some excellent blends, like the Elivette Reserve (made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc grapes).
