St. George's Caye Resort

While St. George’s Caye Resort has the exclusivity of an island resort, it is also ideally located close to the Belize International Airport (transfers are complimentary). The 12 cabanas—guests can choose from garden, oceanfront, or over-water rooms—are built up on stilts to take advantage of ocean breezes and have thatched roofs, dark wood–paneled walls, and beach-friendly amenities, such as beach towels, hammocks, and private verandas. Guests also have complimentary access to kayaks, windsurfing boards, and snorkeling gear. All meals—from freshly squeezed juices and a continental breakfast in the morning to beachside barbecues at night—are included. Daytime activities are plentiful: book treatments at the property’s spa or sign up for water or land excursions such as diving trips, zip-lining tours, or day trips to Mayan ruins.
