Speightstown
Fisherman's Pub & Beach Bar
Originally founded as a local rum shop, the beachfront Fisherman’s Pub is now a casual, cafeteria-style restaurant serving authentic Bajan cuisine. The open-air dining room contains simple furniture and a wall mural depicting local fishermen, and seating is also available outside on a shaded terrace. The affordable lunch buffet includes a variety of dishes, such as fried flying fish, macaroni pie, and cou-cou (a traditional dish of cornmeal and okra). Meals are paired with local beer or a flask of rum for the table. The pub often hosts live entertainment, including a Wednesday evening dinner show that features steel-pan music.
Insider Tip:
After lunch, walk to the nearby Speightstown Esplanade for a stroll along the Caribbean.
